Who I coach
I coach people who want the most out of daily life. Not athletes chasing a podium — adults who want to feel good not only today but also at forty, fifty, sixty and beyond.
My approach is built around one idea: the four pillars interact, and treating them separately is why most plans fall apart. You cannot out-train a bad diet. You cannot resolve chronic stress without good sleep. You cannot train and recover well without proper hydration. A plan that ignores three of the four is a plan that works until the first bad week.
So I start with an assessment instead of a program, and I change one or two things at a time instead of ten. Iterative change and consistent application are the key.
Why work with me?
I’m a scientist by training, with an undergraduate degree and a master’s in engineering physics, specializing in nanotechnology. In 2013 I moved into health systems engineering, working for the Military Health System. Going from hospital to hospital improving care was an amazing experience, but it showed me that healthcare in the U.S. focuses mostly on sickness rather than on prevention and wellbeing.
I grew up with a mom who was a hardcore fitness instructor with a master’s in health promotion, and I have been exercising and lifting weights for the last 22 years.
A few years ago I dove into longevity research: how we can improve not only our lifespan but also our health span, so that more of our years are high-quality ones. I’ve used the four pillars to improve my own quality of life, and I want to help others do the same.

What Matt is not
Not a physician, a registered dietitian, or a licensed therapist, and does not diagnose or
treat disease. When something belongs with a clinician, Matt will say so and
help you get there. Coaching works alongside your medical care, never instead of it.
